About Me
My name is Lorraine and I am passionate about breastfeeding. Besides my loving husband, my two beautiful boys and one on the way that kicks non stop, that keep me going, I am driven by the happiness I feel when I see a mum connect with her child through breastfeeding.
I really enjoyed breastfeeding my boys and it's the one thing in my life that I am truly proud of.
I have such sweet memories of them playing with my hair, holding my finger and caressing my face while they were feeding. And I loved the fact that every day they were growing bigger, stronger and healthier because of my breast milk.
I have been doing volunteer work in supporting breastfeeding for over 3 years and qualified as a breastfeeding counsellor in September 2009. I am now undertaking further study in breastfeeding which I really enjoy. So for now, while I am some way away from being a health professional I would like to offer you my personal experience and understanding of breastfeeding as well as my peer support as a fellow mum who has experienced some of what you may be going through or about to embark on.
I hope to make a difference in your parenting experience and to reassure you that with the right support and information it's likely that you can breastfeed and truly enjoy it.
